Karen Freck has dedicated 25 years to teaching in the classroom, with a focus on science education for elementary and middle school students in Virginia. Her passion for education led her to specialize in teaching science to both general education students and those with learning differences. Karen holds a master’s degree in education as a reading specialist, an undergraduate degree in special education, and a Professional License in Educational Administration.

Outside of the classroom, Karen remains actively involved in her community in Satellite Beach, FL. She volunteers as a reading tutor, offering her expertise to support students in their literacy development. Additionally, she volunteers at the local Brevard Zoo and at a thrift shop that raises funds for children diagnosed with cancer, demonstrating her commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of others.

Karen’s dedication to education extends beyond her professional career, as she is deeply passionate about her family, including her sons, and her beloved dogs. Her multifaceted involvement in education and community service reflects her unwavering commitment to making a difference in the lives of those around her and a huge asset in the AHP educational mission.
